Cradle Mountain Tasmania Best Places To Visit In Tasmania?

Best places to visit in Tasmania? - cradle mountain tasmania

My partner and I spent two weeks in Tasmania in August.

What are the best cities to go?
What are the best things to see and do?

Fly flew to Launceston and Hobart.
I want to take me to Cradle Mountain and Port Arthur.

We are renting a car and a reservation is not planned, we will only stop if we want.

Where else can we go?

Oh ... you'll love Tassie. It is a beautiful stretch of land. In short, a picnic and head to the north) to the Russell Falls - Located in Mount Field National Park (from Hobart. There are many hiking trails and waterfalls are spectacular.

I also recommend a visit to Lake St Clair. Also a great place for an impromptu picnic. And, of course (if the weather is halfway) is leading to the summit of Mount Wellington. The river view is spectacular. But be careful ... a jacket or something. It can be very "fresh" up there, and can be very cool - even in midsummer.

On the way to Port Arthur, Doo detour into the city. It is a small picturesque village where everyone has appointed holiday home / apartment with "Doo" - this gives us Doo didgeridoo (and their neighbors-Doo 2. "This is a giggle. And there are also things like blow hole and mosaic floors, in Port Arthur, which are very picturesque.

And - if you have a Chocaholic - No trip to Tasmania is complete without a visit to the Cadbury factory in Clairmont.

Of course, Launceston also has its fair share of beauty. You must Cattaract Tamar Valley Gorge. And if you can, the cave of King Solomon Molesworth worth a visit.

Since a few weeks in Tasmania - nothing as dramatic as a visit to Queenstown. I will not spoil for you, but you must not drive from Hobart to Queenstown (in the opposite direction - Devonport) - The expenditure may in the night to Strachan. But you have to see for yourself, Queenstown. It is a revelation.

In reality, there is much to do in Tasmania, you precious time. But remember Salamanca Market (Hobart) on Saturday. And go for a walk in Battery Point. There are to see some beautiful old historic buildings in and around the ancient city of Hobart.

Have a nice holiday.

SAFYRE Wow, nice answer! I live in Tassie and seem to know more than me :-)

Cradle Mountain in the winter is amazing. I stayed there last winter and it was fine. Make sure you walk Dove Lake.

I would definitely recommend to see a glimpse of the historic Port Arthur, if you have the chance to. It is interesting to see the buildings of convicts, prisons and gardens. Alternatively, you can on a cruise and there is even a ghost tour!

Hastings Caves is also a great place to visit while in the south. The caves are amazing, and there are also hot springs, you can swim in.

Salamanca Market on Saturday morning, a necessity and a unit of the summit of Mount Wellington in the afternoon would be a great day in Hobart. There are also cruises in the Bay of mint, dinner at world-class restaurant and an overview of some of the most beautiful scenery of Tasmania, with seals and sea eagles Sun includes cooking

I hope you have a good time here and enjoy your vacation!
